Ghorepani – Poon Hill Circuit Trek

Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, after completing immigration and customs formalities, you will be greeted by our representative at the arrival hall and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Later, a detailed briefing about the entire trekking program will be provided at the hotel to ensure you are well prepared for the journey ahead.

After breakfast, depart from Kathmandu for a scenic drive to Pokhara, enjoying beautiful views of rivers, hills, and countryside landscapes along the way. En route, you will stop for lunch and short breaks for refreshments, tea, coffee, and rest stops for your comfort. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in to the hotel and relax.

After breakfast, drive to Ulleri and begin your trek towards Ghorepani (2,800 m). The trail takes you through charming villages, stone staircases, and lush rhododendron forests, offering beautiful views of the surrounding hills and landscapes. The trek is moderately challenging and takes approximately 4 hours, providing a wonderful introduction to the Annapurna region’s natural beauty and local culture. Upon arrival at Ghorepani, check in to the teahouse and relax.

Early in the morning around 5:00 AM, begin a scenic hike to Poon Hill (3,200 m). After approximately 1.5 hours of trekking, you will reach one of the most famous viewpoints in the Annapurna region, offering a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas. From here, enjoy panoramic views of majestic peaks including Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and several other snow-capped mountains.

Spend some time at the viewpoint soaking in the spectacular scenery before descending back to Ghorepani for breakfast at the teahouse. After breakfast, continue your trek towards Tadapani, passing through beautiful forests and hillside trails. The trek takes around 5 hours and offers stunning natural landscapes throughout the journey. Upon arrival in Tadapani, check in to the teahouse and relax.

After breakfast, begin your trek from Tadapani towards Ghandruk, passing through beautiful forest trails, small settlements, and scenic hillside landscapes. Upon reaching Ghandruk, take time to explore this famous traditional Gurung village, known for its rich culture, stone-built houses, and stunning views of the Annapurna range. Enjoy a lunch stop here while experiencing the warm local hospitality.

After exploring Ghandruk, continue trekking to the roadhead at Naya Gaon/Naudanda, where you will board your vehicle for a scenic drive back to Pokhara (1,600 m). Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax after the trek.

Today is a relaxed and refreshing day in Pokhara, allowing time to rest and enjoy its natural beauty. After a leisurely breakfast around 10:00 AM, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of the city’s main attractions.

Begin with a visit to Devi’s Fall, a unique waterfall that disappears into an underground tunnel, followed by Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave (Mahadev Cave), known for its sacred shrine and fascinating limestone formations. Later, enjoy a peaceful boating experience on Phewa Lake, offering stunning reflections of the surrounding hills and the majestic Annapurna range. After the sightseeing, return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, depart from Pokhara for a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, enjoying the beautiful landscapes of rivers, hills, and countryside along the way. En route, stop for lunch and short breaks for tea, coffee, and refreshments to ensure a comfortable journey. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check in to your hotel and relax.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at leisure in Kathmandu before your scheduled transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
