Itinerary
Arrival in Kathmandu. Upon landing at Kathmandu, meet our local representative and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and rest after the journey.
Kathmandu is the capital and largest city of Nepal, serving as the country’s political, cultural, and economic center. Located in a valley surrounded by hills, it is known for its rich history, ancient temples, and vibrant street life. The city is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including historic Durbar Squares, sacred Hindu temples, and important Buddhist stupas such as Swayambhunath and Boudhanath. Kathmandu reflects a unique blend of tradition and modern life, making it an essential gateway for travelers exploring Nepal.

Today we will visit the sacred Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Asia and an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists. Thousands of devotees perform kora (ritual circumambulation) around the stupa daily, spinning prayer wheels beneath the watchful eyes of the Buddha. You can observe Tibetan monks in maroon robes, explore the prayer flag-lined streets, spin prayer wheels, or relax in nearby cafés while watching daily religious activities. Later, we will visit the famous Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, located along the holy Bagmati River, where rituals such as the evening Aarati take place. You will also have time to explore other attractions around the bustling Kathmandu Valley. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Transfer to Bandipur (4 hrs drive)
Bandipur is a beautifully preserved hilltop town known as a living museum of Newari culture, reflecting the traditional lifestyle of the Newar people of the Kathmandu Valley. Situated on a ridge above Dumre, it features charming cobbled streets and well-preserved traditional houses that showcase its rich heritage and timeless atmosphere. The journey to Bandipur also offers scenic views of rural Nepal, providing insight into local life beyond the cities. Overnight stay in Bandipur.
Around 8 am, after breakfast, we will drive to the majestic Pokhara (3 hours drive), one of the most beautiful locations in Nepal, where you can catch many glimpses of the breath-taking Himalayas. After reaching your hotel in Pokhara, you can take some time for refreshments and enjoy some well deserved leisure time. You might like to rest and have a few drinks or stretch your legs and take a walk to the wonderful lakeside. The main Lakeside road has many cafes, restaurants and shops selling items such as pashminas, or local handicrafts made by the Woman Skill’s Development Workshop (a fair trade organisation and a non-profit and income-generating program for economically disadvantaged, disabled, abused, single and outcast women from rural Nepal, supporting them to be self-supportive and independent.) or visit the Helping Hands Handicraft shop which employs Deaf workers who make items on their loom such as scarves. You could also visit the Seeing Hands Blind Massage Clinic, where you can receive a muscle relaxing massage from a well-trained blind masseuse.
Pokhara is known as Nepal’s number one stop for both leisure and adventure. Many trekkers will begin and end their trekking journey here, and it offers photo opportunities at every corner, with the lake, mountains, and scenic surroundings making it one of the most picturesque cities in the country. It is the second main city of Nepal, and even many Nepalese people choose Pokhara as their own holiday destination. From Pokhara you can go for trekking, paragliding or take a boat ride which you’ll experience yourself tomorrow with a local rower who can row for you while you sit back and enjoy the bliss of the quiet and peaceful lake.

Early morning at around 5:30 am, you will be taken for a drive to the hill station Sarangkot for a spectacular sunrise and mountain views, where you can witness panoramic views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna I and III, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu, and many other surrounding peaks. It is a paradise for photographers and an unforgettable experience for all visitors, offering one of the most breathtaking sunrises in the world. After sunrise, you will return to the hotel for breakfast, followed by a half-day sightseeing tour around the Pokhara valley, including boating on the serene Phewa Lake. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
After breakfast, we will visit the International Mountain Museum in Pokhara. Mountains and mountaineering have a rich and fascinating history, and preserving it is important before records and evidence are lost over time. Established by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) in 1973, the museum documents the history, development, and achievements of mountaineering around the world, with a special focus on the Himalayas and legendary expeditions in Nepal. Later, we will visit the famous Davis Falls, a unique waterfall where the water disappears into an underground tunnel, followed by a visit to the World Peace Pagoda for a beautiful sunset view over the Pokhara Valley and Phewa Lake. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
After breakfast, you will enjoy a scenic drive to Chitwan (4 hrs drive). On arrival at the hotel, you will be welcomed with a drink and given a briefing about the accommodation and facilities. After lunch, you will be informed about the program for the upcoming days. Later, you can take a short rest followed by a visit to a traditional Tharu village and the National Park Visitor Center. In the evening, you will enjoy a beautiful sunset view from the riverbank before dinner. Chitwan National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the subtropical lowlands of southern Nepal, known for its rich biodiversity and wildlife, including the one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal tiger, and gharial crocodile. Overnight stay in Chitwan.
On day 8, you will have the chance to enjoy a dugout canoe trip along the Rapti River, followed by a nature walk or a visit to the Elephant Breeding Centre. Later, you can experience a traditional ox-cart ride back to the resort. After afternoon refreshments, you may also have the opportunity to wash an elephant and safely interact with them near the Rapti River. After a lunch break and some rest, the day continues with an exciting elephant-back safari inside the jungle. Overnight stay in Chitwan.
Today, you will enjoy an exciting jeep safari in Chitwan National Park, where you can explore the dense jungle and spot diverse wildlife in their natural habitat. Later, around 6:30 pm, you will have dinner followed by a cultural evening program, where Tharu ethnic dancers perform traditional dances showcasing their rich heritage and vibrant cultural movements. After the program, you can relax and unwind. Overnight stay in Chitwan.
After breakfast, you will be driven to Nagarkot, (6 hrs drive) one of the most popular hill stations near Kathmandu, renowned for its breathtaking Himalayan views. Located about 32 km from Kathmandu, Nagarkot is famous for offering panoramic mountain vistas right from the comfort of your hotel balcony. Perched along a scenic ridge, the village is lined with hotels facing the majestic Himalayas, creating an unforgettable experience for visitors. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning landscapes make it a perfect place to relax and admire nature’s beauty. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the spectacular views. After breakfast, there will be a short drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one of the most well-preserved cultural landmarks in Nepal. Once the capital city during the Malla reign, Bhaktapur is known for its rich heritage, traditional Newari architecture, ancient temples, vibrant local life, and charming souvenir shops that create a lively and spiritual atmosphere. Enjoy exploring the rustic streets while admiring the magnificent temples and local culture surrounding you. Later, we will visit Patan Durbar Square, the ancient royal palace complex of Patan, famous for its beautifully crafted temples and one of the finest examples of traditional Newari architecture in Nepal. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Today, we will visit Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, one of the most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Perched atop a hill overlooking the city, this ancient Buddhist stupa is a fascinating blend of Buddhist and Hindu symbolism, surrounded by playful monkeys and offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Visitors can climb the 365 stone steps leading to the stupa and enjoy the unique spiritual atmosphere and scenic surroundings. Later, we will explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, the historic royal palace square where the kings of Kathmandu were once crowned and ruled the kingdom. The square remains the cultural heart of the old city and showcases some of Nepal’s finest traditional architecture, temples, and courtyards. You will also have free time to explore Thamel, the lively tourist district of Kathmandu, known for its souvenir shops, trekking stores, cafés, restaurants, and vibrant local atmosphere. As per your flight schedule, we will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey. Today will be a relaxed day, giving you time to repack your bags with the many souvenirs and gifts collected during your memorable journey through Nepal. You may also wish to enjoy a final cup of local tea and take in the peaceful atmosphere of Nepal before bidding farewell to this beautiful Himalayan country.
