Upon arrival at Lukla, you will meet your trekking crew and begin your journey towards Phakding. The trail follows a gentle descent and gradual climb along the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River, passing through beautiful landscapes and small settlements. On clear days, you may also enjoy distant views of surrounding peaks, including Nupla (5885m) across the valley. Overnight stay at Tourist Standard Lodge
By late afternoon, you will reach Phakding, where you will spend the night and rest for the next day’s trek.
After breakfast in Phakding, the trek begins towards Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region. The trail follows the right bank of the Dudh Koshi River, offering beautiful views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape, including the majestic Thamserku peak rising across the valley.
The route passes through small settlements such as Bengar and continues with gradual ascents and descents through forests and suspension bridges. You will cross several streams and pass through villages like Chumoa and Monjo before entering the Sagarmatha National Park, where permits are checked and entry fees are registered.
From here, the trail continues along the river valley, where the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers converge. The final section involves a steep ascent toward Namche Bazaar. Along the way, trekkers are rewarded with their first clear views of Mount Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8516m) on a clear day.
Namche Bazaar is a vibrant Sherpa town surrounded by mountains on three sides and serves as the main trading hub of the region, offering food, accommodation, and trekking supplies.
This day is set aside for acclimatization at Namche Bazaar, an important stop to help your body adjust to the increasing altitude before continuing higher into the Everest region.
After breakfast, you may take a short hike to Khumjung Monastery, a traditional Sherpa settlement offering a deeper insight into local culture and lifestyle. From here, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks including Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawache, and Kongde.
On the return to Namche Bazaar, you may also visit the Sherpa Culture Museum, located just above the town, which showcases the history, traditions, and mountaineering heritage of the region.
The remainder of the day is free to relax, explore the vibrant marketplace, or prepare for the upcoming trek.
After breakfast at Namche Bazaar, we would head toward Tengboche (3,867 m). The trail continues along a steep hillside above the Dudh Kosi River, offering panoramic Himalayan views throughout the journey. Along this section, we would see magnificent peaks including Ama Dablam (6,812 m), Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse (7,855 m), and Tawoche (6,501 m).
Passing through Trashinga and Phunki Tenga, we would finally reach Tengboche, famous for its monastery and spectacular sunrise and sunset views over Everest and Ama Dablam.
Today we leave Tengboche behind and begin a scenic descent through a beautiful rhododendron forest, gradually reaching the village of Deboche.
From there, the trail continues down to cross a suspension bridge over the Imja Khola river. After crossing, we ascend gradually toward the Imja Valley, passing through areas such as Minlinggo, with increasingly open alpine terrain and striking mountain views.
Throughout the trek, we are surrounded by towering Himalayan giants including Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Lhotse.
Finally, we arrive at Dingboche, a high-altitude village in the Imja Valley known for its wide open landscapes, stone-walled fields, and strong acclimatization atmosphere.
Today is another important acclimatization day at Dingboche, allowing the body to adjust further to the high-altitude environment. After breakfast at the teahouse, we take a relaxed walk around the village to stay active while adapting to the local climate.
In the afternoon, we hike toward Chukhung, a beautiful viewpoint above the Imja Valley. From here, we enjoy sweeping Himalayan panoramas, including Island Peak, Ama Dablam, Makalu, and Tawoche.
By late afternoon, we return to Dingboche for rest, recovery, and preparation for the next stage of the trek.
Today we leave Dingboche and begin our ascent toward Lobuche, a journey of around 5 to 6 hours on a steady high-altitude trail.
The route first follows a gentle path toward Pheriche, with stunning views throughout the valley. Along the way, we are surrounded by dramatic Himalayan scenery, including Tawoche, Ama Dablam, Pokalde (5,741 m), Kongma Tse (5,820 m), and the massive glacial wall of Nuptse.
We stop for lunch at Dughla (4,595 m), a small but important rest point before the steep climb ahead. From here, the trail becomes more challenging as we ascend through the memorial area dedicated to climbers and continue toward Lobuche.
By late afternoon, we arrive at Lobuche, where we settle in for the night at a high-altitude teahouse, preparing for the final push toward Everest Base Camp.
After breakfast at Lobuche, we begin our trek toward Everest Base Camp (5364 m) via Gorak Shep (5164 m). This is one of the most rewarding and memorable sections of the entire journey.
The trail gradually ascends over a rocky and glacial moraine landscape, following parts of the Khumbu Glacier. As we move forward, magnificent views of Nuptse, Lho La, and Khumbutse come into close view, creating a dramatic Himalayan backdrop.
Upon reaching Everest Base Camp, we spend time exploring and soaking in the achievement of standing at the base of the world’s highest peak region. After the visit, we retrace our steps back to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay.
Early in the morning, we begin the climb to Kala Patthar (5,545m), one of the finest viewpoints in the Everest region. From the summit, we witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas, including views of Mount Everest, Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbutse, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku.
After spending time at the viewpoint, we descend back to Gorak Shep and continue trekking down to Pheriche (4,243m).
Pheriche is a well-known stop in the region and is also home to the Himalayan Rescue Association aid post, where volunteer doctors provide medical assistance and altitude-related care for trekkers.
Today, we descend from Pheriche to the vibrant Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar (3,440 m). The trek takes approximately four and a half hours, passing through beautiful Himalayan landscapes and traditional Sherpa villages such as Khumjung and Khunde.
Along the way, we visit the famous monastery in Khumjung, known for housing the legendary Yeti scalp. After an enjoyable day of trekking and cultural exploration, we arrive in Namche Bazaar by late afternoon.
After breakfast at the teahouse in Namche Bazaar, we begin our final trekking day back to Lukla (2,886 m). The trail descends through beautiful pine forests, suspension bridges, and traditional Sherpa villages while following the Dudh Koshi River downstream.
Along the way, we pass through familiar settlements and enjoy our last views of the Himalayan landscapes that accompanied us throughout the journey. Lunch will be served en route.
Upon arrival in Lukla, we check into the lodge, relax, and celebrate the successful completion of the Everest Base Camp trek with the trekking crew and fellow travelers.
Early in the morning, we board our scenic flight from Lukla to Ramechhap Airport. Upon arrival, we continue with a comfortable drive back to Kathmandu.
After reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for rest and relaxation after the adventure in the Himalayas. You may also choose to explore the city, enjoy a café, or simply unwind at the hotel.
Today is kept as a free buffer and leisure day in Kathmandu. This extra day is useful in case of any flight delays from Lukla due to weather conditions, which are common in the Everest region.
If everything goes according to schedule, you can spend the day exploring Kathmandu at your own pace. You may enjoy shopping for souvenirs, handicrafts, trekking gear, and local products around the vibrant streets of Thamel.
In the evening, we gather for a special farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic cuisine along with cultural performances featuring various ethnic Nepali dances and music.
After breakfast and depending on your flight schedule, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure.
