Itinerary
Arrival in Sri Lanka and a warm welcome by our representative, followed by a transfer to Sigiriya (5 hrs drive). En route, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a well-known sanctuary dedicated to the care and protection of abandoned and injured elephants. It provides a safe and natural environment where elephants of all ages are nurtured and looked after, and it is especially famous for its successful captive breeding program. Visitors can observe the elephants closely during feeding and bathing times, which offer a unique and memorable experience watching these gentle giants interact in their natural routines.
After the visit, proceed to the hotel in Sigiriya/Habarana, check in, and relax.
Dinner & Overnight Stay in Sigiriya / Habarana
After breakfast, proceed to the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a 5th-century “Fortress in the Sky” and one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Rising dramatically about 500 feet above the surrounding plains, Sigiriya – also known as Lion Rock – was once a royal citadel built by King Kashyapa. Within its ancient triple-moated defenses lie beautifully designed water gardens, terraced landscapes, and the remains of a grand palace perched on the summit. Along the ascent, admire the world-famous frescoes of celestial maidens, delicately painted and remarkably preserved, offering a rare glimpse into Sri Lanka’s artistic heritage.
In the afternoon, continue your journey towards Kandy (3 hours drive), enjoying the changing landscapes along the way as you enter the island’s lush hill country.
In the evening, explore the cultural charm of Kandy city, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled among mist-covered hills, Kandy is a city rich in tradition, beauty, and spirituality. Stroll around the serene Kandy Lake, where calm waters and colonial-era surroundings create a peaceful atmosphere in the heart of the city. Later, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of the most revered Buddhist temples in the world, holding the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha and drawing devotees and travelers from across the globe.
Dinner & Overnight Stay in Kandy
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Bentota / Beruwala (5 hours drive), enjoying the scenic journey through Sri Lanka’s lush landscapes.
En route, visit the renowned Royal Botanical Garden, Peradeniya, a beautifully maintained garden spread across 147 acres. It is home to over 5,000 species of trees, plants, and flowers, offering a stunning display of tropical flora, expansive lawns, and beautifully landscaped avenues.
Continue to a Gem Museum, where you can gain insight into Sri Lanka’s world-famous gem industry. Learn about traditional mining methods through an informative presentation, observe a mock gem pit demonstration, and explore a gallery showcasing exquisite gemstones and jewellery.
After the visits, proceed to the hotel in Bentota / Beruwala, check in, and relax.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing Bentota city tour, experiencing the coastal beauty and tranquil atmosphere of Sri Lanka’s southern region.
Visit the Turtle Hatchery at Kosgoda, a dedicated conservation project working to protect endangered sea turtles from extinction. Here, you can observe different species of turtles at various stages of life and learn about the important efforts taken to preserve them for future generations.
Later, enjoy a scenic Madu River boat ride, one of the most beautiful natural experiences in Sri Lanka. Cruise through calm waters surrounded by dense mangroves, small islands, and rich biodiversity. Along the way, observe birds and wildlife in their natural habitat and experience the unique fish foot massage, where small fish gently cleanse your feet in the shallow waters.
Dinner & Overnight Stay in Bentota / Beruwala
In the afternoon, check out from the hotel and proceed to Colombo (2 hours drive), the vibrant commercial capital of Sri Lanka. In the evening, enjoy a Colombo city tour, experiencing the blend of modern life, colonial heritage, and cultural diversity that defines the city.
A drive through Colombo takes you through Fort and Pettah, the bustling commercial districts filled with markets and trading activity. Continue through the elegant residential areas of Cinnamon Gardens (Colombo 07) and other prime residential zones known for their tree-lined streets and colonial-era charm.
Visit Pettah Market for shopping and local experiences, and explore key landmarks such as the Hindu Temple at Sea Street, surrounded by traditional goldsmith shops, the historic Wolfendhal Church dating back to 1749, and the Dewatagaha Mosque, reflecting the city’s rich religious harmony. Also visit important modern landmarks including Independence Square and BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall).
Overnight Stay in Colombo
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Colombo Airport (45 mins drive) for your onward flight, after a memorable and culturally rich journey through the beautiful island of Sri Lanka, filled with scenic landscapes, wildlife experiences, cultural heritage, and unforgettable moments.
